About RCT Canvas

I don't consider myself a video gamer but I have had four major video game addictions in my life: Lode RunnerRollerCoaster Tycoon (1 & 2), EverQuest, and No Man's Sky. I've lived without a PC at home (relying on a tablet and phone) for many years now. Therefore I have not played RollerCoaster Tycoon in many years. RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic released for Android in September 2016. The addiction is back.

Having played through all of the scenarios in the early 2000s the need to beat the game isn't strong this time around. Instead what I've found is that I desire to make the parks look as nice as I can. Despite years of experience playing the game I'm not very good at making parks look aesthetically pleasing or look like real world parks. RCT Canvas is the chronicle of my attempts at making better looking parks. I will share parks, rides, screenshots, and stories.

A word of note: I am a major plagiarist. I scroll through Google Images looking for inspirations and ideas and I use what I find without regret. I have also downloaded many thousands of tracks; I have never been any good at making roller coasters. In most cases I do not know the authors of any inspirational images or downloaded tracks so I will not give credit. It's not fair that credit goes to me so I will state what I have downloaded versus what I have made, but I will not (except for rare occasions) cite the original creator. This blog is not monetized so I don't feel like I'm taking anything material away from the original authors.
